Can I use other brand’s crystal cat litter?
Do not use crystal cat litter from other brands, nor other litter types such as tofu litter or mineral litter. Otherwise, it may cause the product to malfunction. PETKIT crystal cat litter is specially designed and developed by PETKIT for the Purobot Crystal Duo self-cleaning litter box.
What should I do if my cat has problems using it?
Most cats adapt quickly, but some may need a little extra time to get comfortable with the new litter’s texture, color, or scent. If your cat seems hesitant, try placing one poop and one urine clump from the old box into the new one. The familiar scent helps them recognize it as their own space, making the transition smoother and stress-free.
Is the crystal litter safe for my cat to use?
Our litter is made from silica gel - crystals derived from naturally occurring minerals. It’s completely safe to use in your cat’s litter box. However, to avoid any risk of choking, please ensure your cat does not ingest the crystal litter.
How should I dispose of used litter?
Never flush soiled litter down the toilet. Instead, place the entire tray, including litter, in a dedicated trash bag, no need for gradual scooping. Tie the bag securely and dispose of it in your outdoor trash. Then, clean the litter box thoroughly, install a new tray, and refill it with fresh crystals.
Does it clump?
It’s a non-clumping litter. Unlike traditional clumping litters that form heavy, messy clumps you need to scoop out and replace every few days, our non-clumping crystal litter keeps things simple and light. The highly absorbent silica gel crystals quickly lock in moisture and odor, allowing the liquid to evaporate while trapping odor molecules inside.
